Teresa
I’m a 20-year-old Communication major at the University of California, San Diego. I have a diverse media background, including experience at an international news station, at mediabistro.com, and at Glamour magazine’s web department.
I’m a strong oral and written communicator who’s knowledgeable about the emerging digital landscape. I live and breathe social media and online communities — in addition to blogging for nine years, I’m extremely active on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. I’ve played a key role in integrating social marketing strategy for startups Unigo.com and internshipIN.com.
I also have a strong event planning background, with everything from a charity fashion show to a golf tournament under my belt. Currently, I hold an internship with the China Business Network, which provides a platform to connect China business organizations and individuals to one another.
Above all, I’m a writer: a journalist, copywriter, and blogger. I was a copy editor and managing editor at the UCSD Guardian, and I’ve contributed to a variety of online publications, such as Asiance, Mochi, and Glamour, in addition to writing a personal blog.
